Our Coach

The Art of Tennis is a tennis coaching business founded by LTA qualified tennis coach, David Burwood. 

David is a successful tennis professional with 30 years of coaching, playing, and tennis administration experience. His track record ranges from being a senior manager at the LTA based at the Queen’s Club (London) to being an ITF Seniors world ranked player. 

He has coached many junior and adult beginners, through to local, regional and nationally ranked players.

David was awarded a Distinction for his Bachelors degree in Professional Practice in Tennis Coaching Management by Northumbria University. He also holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Bath. He has also completed the LTA Level 5 Master Club Coach qualification.

David is friendly, courteous, knowledgable and reliable. He has the skills and experience to adapt his tennis coaching to your specific requirements. Combining solid on-court skills with sound coaching management, David delivers excellent tennis programmes tailored to your abilities and aspirations.  

The Art of Tennis provides tennis courses at a variety of venues such as clubs, parks and tennis centres in West London, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire.
